OUR

Worship

At St Saviour’s Academy Worship is viewed as an integral and important part of school life. Through this and in the general ethos of the school we seek to promote our mission statement

Collective Worship gives us the opportunity to come together as a community. It is attended by all students, staff and any visitors in school are very welcome to join in.

Collective Worship is a time when the whole school, or groups within the school meet together in order to consider and reflect on common concerns, issues and interests. It offers all pupils an opportunity to worship through engaging in relevant, meaningful experiences and provides opportunities for the pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.

Collective worship takes place each day.

Every Friday morning, we ‘Celebrate’ our school successes.  It’s lead by our marvelous year 6 pupils. We invite the families of the children who are receiving the Principal’s Award to join us.

We identify the values of friendship, honesty, respect, perseverance, forgiveness and aspiration.

These values are embodied in the New Commandment that Jesus gave us:

So we must “love one another. As I have loved you. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples”  (John 13:34-35).

We also actively seek to encourage the attitudes of awe, wonder and reflection.
